ManyDownloader

First up, you need to know that ManyDownloader used to be called TorrentDownloader. Now, with a name like that, it goes without saying that ManyDownloader can be used to download torrents.
Moving on, the second thing you need to know is that ManyDownloader is much more than a torrent client. You see, this application is also a FTP client and a media downloader. Furthermore, ManyDownloader allows you to create a private cloud and securely share files with others.

The setup wizard that guides you through the installation process puts two options in front of you: Standard Installation or Custom Installation. I went with the Custom Installation and was able to opt out of changing my browser’s homepage and default search provider; I was also able to pick the installation folder and pick if I want a Start Menu entry and desktop shortcut.

By default, a prompt shows up at startup and asks you “Where do you want to start?” This prompt lists three options:
Torrent – download torrent files, manage torrent files.
FTP & Video – manage files on a FTP server, download videos from various video-sharing sites.
My Cloud – create a private cloud and securely share files with others.

The three options presented above are also displayed on ManyDownloader’s ribbon interface. There’s a ribbon at the top of the interface, ribbon that features three sections: Torrents, FTP, and My Cloud. Use these sections to download torrents, connect to a FTP server, and create a personal cloud.

ManyDownloader is available as a Free and as a Pro edition. The Free edition has the following functionality to offer: torrent client, FTP client, video downloader, private clouds. The Pro edition has all these features and a few more: secure cloud, unlimited premium support, no third party offers, cloud chat.

Download torrents, connect to a FTP server, download videos from the web, create a private cloud – all these bits of functionality are offered by ManyDownloader (previously TorrentDownloader).
